Policing is not just done by police officers
Our workforce is 50:50 police officers and civilian police staff. This includes uniformed PCSOs and Contact Centre Operators, as well as non-uniformed Local Crime Investigators and a wide range of professional enabling support roles.
Policing covers everything from 101 and 999 call handlers to Corporate Communications, People Services and ICT specialists.
