Inspector David Tippetts has over 19 years of policing experience and has worked within Neighbourhood Policing throughout his career—serving as a Police Constable, Sergeant, and now Inspector. He has worked across the county and moved to Swindon in 2018 as the Sergeant for the Swindon Central South area. Following his promotion, he spent 18 months as a Duty Inspector on a response team before returning to Central South in 2021 as Sector Head.

David is passionate about his Neighbourhood Policing Team investing in the local community and working in partnership to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB). A key focus of his work is targeting those who cause the most harm and frequently come to police attention—demonstrated through his leadership of the Criminal Behaviour Order Panel, which he chairs.

Community engagement remains a top priority for David. He is committed to building strong relationships with schools, community groups, and key stakeholders. By ensuring his team maintains a visible presence at community events and actively listens to local concerns, David works to foster collaboration and find effective solutions to prevent crime and reduce ASB.

PC Daniel Barreto has been a valued member of Wiltshire Police since 2018. Originally from a non-policing background, Daniel previously worked in the education sector, primarily within secondary and further education colleges, before joining the force as a response officer.

He is currently attached to the Central South Neighbourhood Policing Team, serving Swindon Town Centre and its surrounding communities. PC Barreto takes great pride in his role, focusing on promoting safety, engaging with diverse community groups including local businesses and youth, and supporting vulnerable individuals and victims of crime.

His work includes tackling anti-social behaviour in the town centre and collaborating closely with partner agencies to disrupt criminal activities and enhance community wellbeing.

PC Julieann Brown has served with Wiltshire Police for 19 years. She began her career in a Neighbourhood Policing Team before spending the majority of her service on Response. Over the past year, she has returned to Neighbourhood Policing, now based in Swindon Town Centre.

She is trained in Response Policing, TASER, and holds the role of Family Liaison Officer (FLO).

PC Paul Bezzant has served as a Police Officer in Swindon for nearly 22 years and is proud to have been born and raised in the local area. For the past 15 years, he has focused on neighbourhood policing, working the busy town centre beat.

Paul is passionate about engaging with the community, understanding local priorities, and collaborating with partner agencies to address issues such as anti-social behaviour and local crime concerns. He believes that strong relationships and local knowledge are essential to effective policing. Swindon is his home, and he remains committed to making it a safer and better place for all who live and work there.

PC Thapa is a Neighbourhood Policing Officer based in Central South Swindon, covering the vibrant and diverse Town Centre. Her role places her in a fast-paced and often challenging environment—something she thrives on. Each day brings new opportunities to make a positive difference in people’s lives, which is what she values most about policing.

With a lifelong passion for community service, PC Thapa is driven by a commitment to building trust, addressing local issues, and working collaboratively with her team and partner agencies to help create a safer and more connected Swindon.

Fluent in Nepalese, she plays a vital role in supporting Swindon's Nepalese community. As a trusted point of contact, she helps ensure individuals feel heard, understood, and represented. Her ability to bridge language and cultural gaps has made a meaningful difference in fostering engagement and inclusion.

For PC Thapa, being a police officer is far more than a job - it’s both a responsibility and a privilege. She is dedicated to listening, helping, and working hand-in-hand with the community to create lasting, positive change.
