Inspector Andy Lemon has served with Wiltshire Police for 24 years, during which time he has gained extensive experience across both Uniform and Detective roles.
For the past 10 years, he has held the rank of Inspector, undertaking a range of responsibilities including Covert Intelligence, Force Intelligence Manager and his current position as Neighbourhood Inspector for the Devizes area.
The majority of Andy’s career has been spent as a Detective, having served at all ranks within detective roles. His background includes both proactive and reactive crime investigation, as well as several intelligence-based positions. In addition to his operational experience, Andy is an accredited Initial Tactical Firearms Commander, an accredited Post Incident Manager and the Tactical Rural Crime Lead for the Force.
Deb Laycock is the Neighbourhood Sergeant overseeing the Marlborough and Pewsey areas. She began her policing career with Wiltshire Police in 2019 as a uniformed response officer based in Warminster, before moving into the Child Abuse Investigation Team, where she served as a Detective for three years.
In July 2025, Deb took on the role of Neighbourhood Sergeant for Marlborough and Pewsey and is passionate about delivering the best possible service to the communities she serves.
She enjoys working closely with local PCs and PCSOs, building strong relationships within the community, and spending time out and about in the neighbourhoods.
Attending community events throughout the year is a particular highlight for Deb and an important opportunity to show how much the team cares about local residents.
She describes her role as a genuine privilege and remains committed to working hard for the communities she serves.
PC 2811 Jason Steele is the dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Officer for Marlborough, part of the Devizes Area Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Jason joined Wiltshire Police in November 2016 and spent several years on a Response Policing Team covering Devizes, Pewsey, and Marlborough. In the summer of 2023, he transitioned to Neighbourhood Policing, taking on the role of Marlborough’s local officer.
He enjoys the variety that neighbourhood policing offers—from responding to live incidents to addressing long-term community concerns through problem-solving and engagement. Jason is also a trained Wildlife Crime Officer (WCO) and has a particular interest in tackling issues affecting rural communities.
Having spent most of his policing career within the Marlborough sector, Jason values the strong sense of community in the area and is committed to maintaining local trust and safety through proactive, visible policing.
PCSO Mark Braithwaite is proud to serve Marlborough Town and its surrounding areas, where he has been a familiar and trusted presence for many years. Throughout his time with Wiltshire Police, he has witnessed significant changes in policing but remains firmly committed to community-focused work.
Mark is passionate about supporting residents with a wide range of issues and is dedicated to building positive relationships between the police and younger members of the community. His approachable nature and long-standing local knowledge make him a valued and respected figure in the area.
He looks forward to continuing his work and making a meaningful difference to the lives of those he serves.
