Inspector Pete Foster is the Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Chippenham, Calne, and Corsham, covering both the towns and surrounding rural areas. He has held this role since January 2024.
Pete joined Wiltshire Police in March 2007 and has served in a variety of frontline and leadership roles, including Response and Neighbourhood Policing as both a Police Constable and Sergeant in Swindon, as well as time spent in Custody. He also worked as a Force Incident Manager in the Crime and Communication Centre in Devizes and is a qualified Tactical Firearms Commander.
With extensive experience in neighbourhood policing at all levels: PC, Sergeant, and now Inspector, Pete brings a strong understanding of community engagement, long-term problem solving, and safeguarding.
He leads a dedicated team of Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers focused on protecting the vulnerable, reducing harm, and building safer, more connected communities.
Sergeant Mike Tripp is the Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant for Corsham and Calne, bringing 24 years of dedicated service with Wiltshire Police. For the past three years, he has been a key member of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, where his focus on community engagement and problem-solving has made a meaningful difference.
Throughout his career, Mike has served exclusively in frontline roles, gaining extensive experience across Malmesbury, Royal Wootton Bassett, and Swindon. His hands-on approach and deep understanding of local issues have shaped his commitment to effective, community-based policing.
Mike is passionate about Neighbourhood Policing and values the strong partnerships he has built with local agencies and organisations. He believes that collaboration is essential to tackling issues, reducing crime, and improving the quality of life for residents. Mike takes pride in being visible, approachable, and proactive in addressing the needs of the communities he serves.
With a focus on building trust and maintaining strong community links, Mike continues to work closely with partner agencies to ensure that local concerns are heard and addressed. His experience and commitment play a vital role in delivering policing that truly reflects and supports the people of Corsham and Calne.
PC Grant Ward joined Wiltshire Police in March 2024 and is now part of the Chippenham Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Passionate about building strong relationships with local communities, he is committed to working closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address local priorities and help keep Chippenham a safe and welcoming place to live and work.
PC 2062 Dorey is a member of the Neighbourhood Policing Team in Calne, covering Calne, Hilmartin, Foxham, East Tytherton, Studley, Derry Hill, Heddington and Cherhill.
He joined Wiltshire Police in 2021, initially on the Devizes Community Policing team. He moved to Chippenham Response in January 2024 before joining the Neighbourhood Team September 2024.
His role involves close collaboration with local schools, housing agencies, and community speed watch teams to address community concerns and promote safety.
He likes promoting road safety, being out on the beat and talking with members of the community.
PCSO Jasmine Thomson has recently joined Wiltshire Police, bringing with her a strong commitment to public service and community engagement.
She recognises the vital role that Police Community Support Officers play in fostering trust, building meaningful relationships and maintaining a visible and approachable presence within local neighbourhoods.
In her role, PCSO Thomson is dedicated to developing a thorough understanding of the communities she serves, supporting individuals from all walks of life, and contributing to a safer, more cohesive environment. She is passionate about working collaboratively with residents, partner agencies, and colleagues to address local concerns and promote community wellbeing.
PCSO Thomson is focused on establishing strong, positive relationships and is determined to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
Through a proactive, professional, and compassionate approach, she is committed to supporting and empowering her community.
PCSO 6080 Mark Cook began his policing career with Wiltshire Police in 2002 as a Special Constable before becoming a full-time Police Community Support Officer in 2006. After working across a variety of areas in Swindon, he transferred to Calne in 2012, where he continues to serve.
Mark is a trained Wildlife and Heritage Crime Officer and acts as the Counter Terrorism SPOC for the Calne area. Over his career, he has received multiple awards recognising his dedication and service to the community, including the Calne Civic Award and several Certificates of Merit.
Known for his strong partnerships and community focus, Mark is passionate about local policing and committed to making a difference through problem-solving and proactive engagement.
