After studying for a degree in Geography became the manager of various Health and Fitness clubs before opting for a career in the police.
Steve joined Kent Police in 1993 and within three years was an accredited Detective; spending time within CID and Intelligence before getting promoted to Detective Inspector in 2003.
In 2005 Steve transferred to Wiltshire Police. Since then he has held roles within the Wiltshire Intelligence Unit, CID, Professional Standards Department and Anti-Corruption Unit. During 2009 he spent a year in Jersey on a PSD investigation surrounding the Historic Child Abuse Case.
Steve got promoted to Detective Supt and was the SIO on Operation Conifer, the investigation into Sir Edward Heath before taking the role of Director of Intelligence and Force Authorising Officer.
Steve is married and lives in Wiltshire with his wife and three boys. In his spare time Steve can be found in the gym, supporting his beloved Liverpool FC or standing on a wet touchline watching his sons play football.
