Three people have been arrested following a shooting in Gorse Hill, Swindon, on Friday night (19/06) bringing the total arrested to eight.
Officers responded to reports of a gunshot being fired in St Paul's Street, Gorse Hill just before 9pm.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with a suspected gunshot wound. His condition is described as stable but remains critical.
A 20-year-old man was arrested overnight on suspicion of attempted murder. A 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were also arrested in the Dorset Police area on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. They remain in custody for questioning.
Five others have been arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries including:
A cordon is currently in place in Farnborough Road while officers carry out their investigation.
