A 52-year-old woman has appeared at Swindon Crown Court today (17/05) in connection with the death of 14-year-old Harry Parker in a road traffic collision in November 2022.
Ivy Mwangi, from Redhouse, Swindon, has been charged with causing death by careless driving, causing death by driving while unlicensed and causing death by driving while uninsured.
Today, she pleaded guilty to causing death by driving while unlicensed. No pleas were entered for the other two charges.
A further review hearing will take place on June 27. A trial date has been set for February 2025.
Mwangi has been released on unconditional bail.
The charges relate to an incident on Akers Way on the morning of 25 November 2022, when Harry died after being struck by a car.
