A man has been arrested following reports that four youths required hospital treatment after suffering adverse reactions to drug use.
On Friday May 17, four girls were hospitalised after smoking a suspected illegal substance.
Following enquiries by neighbourhood officers, a man in his 20s from Calne was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug on Tuesday (21/5).
He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
PC Lizzie Wright said: “Following reports of four young girls becoming unwell we launched an investigation and swiftly arrested a man in connection with the incident.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to remind parents to speak with their children about the dangers of taking unknown substances when it is unclear what they may be laced with.”
Enquiries are continuing.
