A man has been arrested in connection with three burglaries in Swindon town centre.
On August 9, we received reports of break-ins at Dotty’s Cafe and Expressions – the suspect is believed to have used a beer keg to smash the doors into the premises. A charity box was stolen from Expressions.
The offender is then believed to have broken into Greggs in Havelock Square using a concrete bollard, before making off with a charity box containing approximately £60 intended for good causes.
Enquiries have been ongoing and today, officers arrested a local man in his 40s on suspicion of three counts of non-dwelling burglary. He remains in custody at Gablecross for questioning.
Anyone with further information about the incidents should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54240093373.
