PC 70572 Tony Walsh

A Misconduct Hearing concerning Police Constable 70572 Tony Walsh, chaired by Assistant Chief Officer Craig Holden, concluded on Wednesday 10^th June.

It considered three allegations, namely:

1. Whilst off duty, PC Walsh made comments to colleagues that were homophobic in nature.
2. Whilst off duty, PC Walsh made comments to colleagues that were racially discriminatory in nature.
3. Whilst off duty, PC Walsh made comments to colleagues that were discriminatory in nature.

The Panel concluded that all three allegations were found proven and breached the Standards of Professional behaviour in relation to Discreditable Conduct and Authority, Respect & Courtesy.

As a result, PC Walsh was dismissed without notice.*

*In line with the Police Conduct regulations 2020, PC Walsh has a period of 10 working days to appeal the outcome.
