Lou began her career with Wiltshire Police in 2006 as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) and has since worked across a range of departments including response policing, neighbourhood policing, and the Public Support Unit (PSU), where she was trained to an advanced tactical level in public order and riot control.

Her passion lies in frontline policing and she is committed to identifying and addressing the root causes of criminality. Lou believes this approach plays a key role in building trust and confidence within local communities.

Recognising that policing is most effective when delivered in partnership, she works closely with other agencies to pursue long-term problem-solving strategies. Under her leadership, the team’s current priorities – based on community feedback, crime data and demand - include youth-related anti-social behaviour, shoplifting, and rural crime

Sergeant 2315 Gemma Rutter joined Wiltshire Police in October 2006. She began her policing career with initial training in Warminster before taking up her first operational role as a response officer in Devizes. She later moved to Trowbridge, continuing in response policing before transitioning to CID in 2017.

After five years working as a Detective Constable within Central CID, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and returned to Trowbridge as a Response Sergeant. She also spent time covering the County Duty Inspector role before joining the Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, where she now leads both the Melksham and Bradford on Avon teams.

With experience policing across much of the county and involvement in a number of large-scale policing operations, Sergeant Rutter brings a wealth of operational and investigative expertise to her current role. Her particular passion lies in community policing that places families at the centre of crime prevention strategies - working closely with parents and guardians to deter youth crime through diversion, education, and where necessary, prosecution.

Sergeant Rutter remains committed to building strong community relationships and delivering a local policing service that is visible, effective and responsive to the needs of residents.

PC Rach Jackson is a Neighbourhood Police Officer responsible for Bradford on Avon Town, working as part of the wider Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team. With a strong focus on community engagement and problem-solving, Rach is committed to supporting local residents, businesses, and partners to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.

She works proactively to build trust, improve public safety, and provide visible reassurance across the town. Whether responding to local concerns or attending community events, Rach prioritises collaboration and long-term solutions to help make Bradford on Avon a safer and stronger place to live and work.

PC Robert Dentry is the Neighbourhood Police Officer for Bradford on Avon and the surrounding area.

Robert began his policing career in Swindon and was part of Swindon Neighbourhoods for 12 years. Then in 2020, he transferred to Trowbridge Response, serving in both Trowbridge and Warminster. He returned to neighbourhood policing in 2023, first in Trowbridge and now in the Bradford-on-Avon area.

He is a qualified Rural Crime Officer, Taser-trained and holds a driving permit that enables him to respond urgently to incidents and conduct initial pursuits, including deployment of stinger devices.

Robert strongly believes in the principle that prevention is better than cure. He is committed to engaging with schools and youth groups to build positive relationships with young people and promote early intervention wherever possible.

PCSO Ella-Maria Badder is a dedicated member of the Bradford on Avon Town Neighbourhood Policing Team. She plays a key role in engaging with the local community, providing a visible policing presence, and helping to address concerns that matter most to residents and businesses.

Ella-Maria works closely with local organisations, schools, and partner agencies to support crime prevention, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and maintain community confidence. Whether on foot patrol or attending community events, she is a familiar and approachable face within the town.

Passionate about neighbourhood policing, Ella-Maria is committed to building strong relationships and helping to ensure Bradford on Avon remains a safe, welcoming, and well-connected community.

PCSO Jack Thomas is known for his approachable nature and commitment to community engagement, Jack works closely with residents, schools, and local organisations to address local concerns and build safer, stronger communities.

His role involves providing visible reassurance through patrols, supporting vulnerable individuals, and working in partnership with other agencies to tackle issues such as anti-social behaviour and crime prevention.
