Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Joe Senior is the Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for North, East and Rural Swindon NPT sector, covering the majority of North and East Swindon and the surrounding villages including Highworth and Wroughton. He leads a team of Sergeants, PCs and PCSOs focused on problem solving, partnership working and community engagement across the area.
Joe has been a police officer for 20 years, and has worked in Swindon since 2013 in a variety of roles never far from front line policing. He joined the NPT in 2023. Joe has a particular interest in how the police can work with partner agencies to develop innovative solutions to problems, and the use of new technologies in policing.
Joe holds ancillary roles as a Tactical Firearms Commander and Post Incident Manager, and also undertakes training roles within the organisation.
Sergeant Danny Salmon is a key member of the North, East and Rural Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team, overseeing areas including Eldene, Nythe, Liden, Covingham, Wroughton, Chiseldon, Wanborough, Liddington, Bishopstone, and Hinton Parva.
With 14 years of policing experience, Danny has held a variety of frontline roles, including Response Officer, Response Sergeant, and Custody Sergeant. He is Wiltshire Police’s Force Lead for the Evidence Gathering Unit in public order operations and acts as an initial responder to major incidents involving CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) threats. Additionally, he is one of the Force’s designated Radiation Protection Supervisors.
Danny is particularly passionate about tackling youth violence and works proactively with partner agencies to divert young people away from criminality and protect them from exploitation. His operational expertise, leadership, and commitment to prevention make him a strong advocate for safer, more resilient communities.
PC Andy Caldwell has been with Wiltshire Police since 2015, beginning his career as a response officer before moving into neighbourhood policing in 2021. He currently covers the South Rural Swindon area, which includes Wroughton, Chiseldon, and the Ridgeway villages.
Andy works closely with local residents, organisations, and partner agencies to help build a safer and more connected community. He is a dedicated officer committed to strengthening public trust and fostering strong relationships across the communities he serves.
PC Zoe Johnson is a dedicated member of the Swindon Central South Neighbourhood Policing Team, responsible for The Lawns, East Wichelstowe and Okus estates. With 27 years of service at Wiltshire Police - including six years as a Special Constable and 21 years as a police officer - PC Johnson brings a wealth of experience to her role.
Throughout her career, she has worked in a wide range of roles, including response policing, proactive teams, child protection, domestic violence, CID, and now neighbourhood policing. Her role encompasses managing crimes, engaging with the community, tackling anti-social behaviour, and working closely with local schools.
PC Johnson is particularly passionate about community engagement, valuing the opportunity to provide reassurance and support to residents. She especially enjoys her work within a local secondary school, focusing on prevention and raising awareness. Her aim is to build positive relationships with young people, encouraging them to see the police as allies and sources of support rather than adversaries.
PCSO Justine Trueman is a member of the North, East & Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team in Swindon, covering Wroughton, Chiseldon, and the Ridgeway villages. She joined Wiltshire Police in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her role involves close collaboration with local schools, parish councils, and housing agencies to address community concerns and promote safety. Justine enjoys the diversity of neighbourhood policing and values the many ways she can make a positive impact—ensuring that residents feel safe and supported in their communities.
PCSO Ollie Jefferies has proudly served Wiltshire Police for over a decade, with much of his career spent policing Swindon town centre. He is now part of the North, East and Rural Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team, covering the communities of Wroughton, Chiseldon, Wanborough, Liddington, Bishopstone, and Hinton Parva.
With extensive operational experience and a strong commitment to neighbourhood policing, Ollie focuses on crime prevention, problem-solving, and proactive engagement. He is passionate about building meaningful relationships with residents and partners to help ensure safer, more connected communities.
