Joe Senior is the Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for North, East and Rural Swindon NPT sector, covering the majority of North and East Swindon and the surrounding villages including Highworth and Wroughton. He leads a team of Sergeants, PCs and PCSOs focused on problem solving, partnership working and community engagement across the area.
Joe has been a police officer for 20 years, and has worked in Swindon since 2013 in a variety of roles never far from front line policing. He joined the NPT in 2023. Joe has a particular interest in how the police can work with partner agencies to develop innovative solutions to problems, and the use of new technologies in policing.
Joe holds ancillary roles as a Tactical Firearms Commander and Post Incident Manager, and also undertakes training roles within the organisation.
Sergeant Danny Salmon is a key member of the North, East and Rural Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team, overseeing areas including Eldene, Nythe, Liden, Covingham, Wroughton, Chiseldon, Wanborough, Liddington, Bishopstone, and Hinton Parva.
With 14 years of policing experience, Danny has held a variety of frontline roles, including Response Officer, Response Sergeant, and Custody Sergeant. He is Wiltshire Police’s Force Lead for the Evidence Gathering Unit in public order operations and acts as an initial responder to major incidents involving CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) threats. Additionally, he is one of the Force’s designated Radiation Protection Supervisors.
Danny is particularly passionate about tackling youth violence and works proactively with partner agencies to divert young people away from criminality and protect them from exploitation. His operational expertise, leadership, and commitment to prevention make him a strong advocate for safer, more resilient communities.
PC Adam Burson currently covers Covingham, Eldene, Liden and Nythe.
He enjoys being visible in the community, attending local events, and building strong relationships with residents.
PC Alex Carty currently covers the Covingham, Eldene, Liden and Nythe areas of the Swindon North, East and Rural NPT.
PC Carty enjoys engaging with the community, attending local events, and working collaboratively with partners and other agencies to resolve issues.
PC Andy Gee is a Neighbourhood Police Constable covering the areas of Eldene, Liden, Covingham, and Nythe in Swindon.
He began his policing career as a Police Community Support Officer before becoming a Police Constable, spending two years on Swindon’s response team before moving into neighbourhood policing.
Andy has a strong interest in the intelligence side of policing and values being a visible and approachable presence in the community. He is passionate about engaging with people of all ages and is committed to helping individuals steer clear of harm and criminal activity through early intervention and support.
PCSO Joanne Cross serves on the North, East and Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team in Swindon, covering the areas of Eldene, Liden, Covingham, and Nythe.
With nine years of experience as a Police Community Support Officer, Joanne is dedicated to building strong community relationships and supporting residents through proactive engagement.
She works closely with local agencies, schools, and residents to address concerns, provide visible reassurance, and contribute to the long-term safety and wellbeing of the community.
Joanne is a familiar and approachable presence in the neighbourhood, committed to fostering trust and working in partnership to keep communities safe.
PCSO Rachel Gilding is part of the North, East and Rural Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team, with a dedicated focus on the East Swindon area, including Eldene, Liden, Covingham, and Nythe.
With six years of service in Wiltshire Police, Rachel has developed a particular interest in adult safeguarding and is passionate about building strong links within the community. She is a familiar and approachable presence in the area, often seen on foot patrol or attending regular community events in Covingham and Liden.
Rachel’s commitment to visible policing and community engagement plays a key role in promoting safety and reassurance across East Swindon.
PCSO Victoria Bradley is a valued member of the North, East and Rural Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team. Her role centres on building strong relationships within the community, supporting residents, and working proactively to keep neighbourhoods safe.
As a visible and approachable presence, Victoria works closely with local partners and members of the public to address concerns, provide reassurance and contribute to the long-term wellbeing of the communities she serves.
