With over 24 years of policing experience - 21 of those spent with Wiltshire Police - Simon has served in a wide variety of roles across the county. His background includes a strong focus on frontline policing as well as time spent in custody roles, including the delivery of specialist training.

Simon is passionate about the impact Neighbourhood Policing can have on local communities. He believes it offers a valuable opportunity to proactively target crime hotspots, reduce offending, and provide tailored support to the most vulnerable members of the public.

Leading the local Neighbourhood Team is a role Simon describes as a privilege. He is committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities he serves and ensuring his team delivers the highest possible standard of service.

Jamie Ball is the Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant for the town of Chippenham, a position he has held for the past three years. With 22 years of service in Wiltshire Police, Jamie has dedicated the majority of his career to frontline, uniformed roles across the Chippenham, Malmesbury, and Royal Wootton Bassett policing areas. Known for his commitment to community safety and visible policing, Jamie is a familiar and trusted presence in the local area.

In addition to his core duties, Jamie holds an ancillary role as a Counter Terrorism Licensed Search Officer. This specialist role has seen him seconded to major national events, including the G7 Summit in Cornwall and the UEFA Champions League Final in Cardiff, contributing to high-level security operations.

Jamie works in close partnership with Chippenham Town Council, the Local Area Board, and the local authority to tackle issues that matter most to residents. He is passionate about building strong community relationships and ensuring local policing remains responsive, visible, and effective in meeting the needs of the town.

PC Jamie Moore joined the team in January 2026 after serving six years as a PCSO, working across several neighbourhood teams in both Swindon and the wider county.

He also spent time seconded as a Scrutiny Officer before becoming a Police Constable.

He has a particular focus on tackling vehicle crime, theft and burglaries.

PC Moore has a strong passion for improving road safety and reducing retail theft across the communities he serves.

PC 70292 Lloyd is the Neighbourhood Police Officer for Malmesbury, Ashton Keynes, Brinkworth, Luckington, and the surrounding areas. He joined the team in November 2024, having previously spent two and a half years on the response team covering Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett.

PC Lloyd is particularly focused on reducing road traffic collisions and drink-driving incidents within the community. He is committed to taking proactive steps to tackle speeding and make local roads safer for everyone.

PCSO 6236 Juliet Evans has been serving with Wiltshire Police since 2009. After a brief posting in Swindon and several years in Highworth, she moved to the Royal Wootton Bassett station, where she took on responsibility for the Malmesbury rural area.

Juliet’s current patch includes the town of Malmesbury, 18 Parish Councils, one Town Council, 12 schools, and more than 40 villages and hamlets, making it one of the most geographically diverse beats in the area.

Her policing focus lies in rural and wildlife crime, where she works closely with local communities, landowners, and partner agencies to address issues that affect the countryside. Juliet is committed to building trust and visibility in the rural areas she serves, ensuring that even the most remote communities feel supported and heard.
