Your Neighbourhood Policing Team
Detective Inspector Scott Anger is the Area Inspector responsible for the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Neighbourhood Policing Team, which also covers Malmesbury, Purton, Ashton Keynes and Minety.
With over 22 years of policing experience, Detective Inspector Anger has spent the majority of his career within CID, managing serious and complex crime investigations. In 2022, he transitioned back to uniform policing as a Force Duty Inspector to broaden his operational leadership experience - overseeing critical incidents and the deployment of response teams across the county.
In the summer of 2024, he assumed leadership of the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Neighbourhood Policing Team, seeking a fresh and rewarding challenge in community-focused policing. He brings with him a wealth of investigative expertise and a strong commitment to driving continued improvement in local policing performance.
His priority is ensuring that communities across the area remain safe, well-supported, and confident in their local police service.
Sergeant Kate Isaac covers the Royal Wootton Bassett Neighbourhood Policing Team, which also includes overseeing the Malmesbury and Cricklade areas.
With 20 years of policing experience, Kate has served in Royal Wootton Bassett since 2018 and took on the role of Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant in 2020. She is passionate about her work and enjoys the diverse challenges and opportunities that come with policing such a varied area.
Kate is committed to supporting her team and working closely with the local community to address concerns, build relationships, and help keep the area a safe place to live and work.
PC 70292 Lloyd is the Neighbourhood Police Officer for Malmesbury, Ashton Keynes, Brinkworth, Luckington, and the surrounding areas. He joined the team in November 2024, having previously spent two and a half years on the response team covering Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett.
PC Lloyd is particularly focused on reducing road traffic collisions and drink-driving incidents within the community. He is committed to taking proactive steps to tackle speeding and make local roads safer for everyone.
PC Taylor is the latest addition to the RWB+C Neighbourhood Policing Team.
He currently covers the RWB town and rural areas, as well as Malmesbury and the surrounding rural communities.
PCSO 6236 Juliet Evans has been serving with Wiltshire Police since 2009. After a brief posting in Swindon and several years in Highworth, she moved to the Royal Wootton Bassett station, where she took on responsibility for the Malmesbury rural area.
Juliet’s current patch includes the town of Malmesbury, 18 Parish Councils, one Town Council, 12 schools, and more than 40 villages and hamlets, making it one of the most geographically diverse beats in the area.
Her policing focus lies in rural and wildlife crime, where she works closely with local communities, landowners, and partner agencies to address issues that affect the countryside. Juliet is committed to building trust and visibility in the rural areas she serves, ensuring that even the most remote communities feel supported and heard.

Community Speed Watch: We will continue to work closely with Community Speed Watch groups, empowering local residents to assist in monitoring speeds and raising awareness within their communities. -

Officers will conduct high-visibility foot patrol in and around the Malmesbury Town centre taking robust action against any anti-social behaviour or other criminal offences that are identified.

Action taken:
Burglary prevention remains a key priority across the area. We are committed to reducing offences, increasing patrol visibility, and supporting residents in keeping their homes, farms, and businesses secure.
Our focus includes:
Targeted high visibility patrols in areas affected by recent reports.
Rural crime prevention advice, including security assessments for isolated properties, farms, and outbuildings.
Proactive investigations to identify offenders travelling into our area and disrupt organised criminal groups targeting rural properties.
We encourage residents to report anything unusual at the earliest opportunity and to make use of crime prevention measures such as good-quality locks, lighting, CCTV, and secure storage for tools and machinery.
