Inspector Simon Garrett is the Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for the Devizes, Marlborough and Pewsey areas.

With over 24 years of policing experience - 21 of those spent with Wiltshire Police - Simon has served in a wide variety of roles across the county. His background includes a strong focus on frontline policing as well as time spent in custody roles, including the delivery of specialist training.

Simon is passionate about the impact Neighbourhood Policing can have on local communities. He believes it offers a valuable opportunity to proactively target crime hotspots, reduce offending, and provide tailored support to the most vulnerable members of the public.

Leading the local Neighbourhood Team is a role Simon describes as a privilege. He is committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities he serves and ensuring his team delivers the highest possible standard of service.

Deb Laycock is the Neighbourhood Sergeant overseeing the Marlborough and Pewsey areas. She began her policing career with Wiltshire Police in 2019 as a uniformed response officer based in Warminster, before moving into the Child Abuse Investigation Team, where she served as a Detective for three years.

In July 2025, Deb took on the role of Neighbourhood Sergeant for Marlborough and Pewsey and is passionate about delivering the best possible service to the communities she serves.

She enjoys working closely with local PCs and PCSOs, building strong relationships within the community, and spending time out and about in the neighbourhoods.

Attending community events throughout the year is a particular highlight for Deb and an important opportunity to show how much the team cares about local residents.

She describes her role as a genuine privilege and remains committed to working hard for the communities she serves.

PC Barron is the latest addition to the Devizes Neighbourhood Policing team, covering the Pewsey area.

PC Rebecca Ryalls is the dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Officer for the Pewsey area, forming part of the wider Devizes Neighbourhood Policing Team. With a strong passion for community-focused policing, Rebecca brings a proactive and approachable style to her role, working closely with local residents, schools, and partner agencies to address concerns and improve public safety.

PCSO Jonathan Mills has been serving with Wiltshire Police for 19 years. With extensive experience, Jonathan brings a deep understanding of community-focused policing to his role covering the Vale of Pewsey.

Jonathan particularly enjoys working within the neighbourhood team and takes pride in advising local residents on how to protect their property, especially through the use of modern technology. His commitment to supporting the community and enhancing safety makes him a trusted and approachable figure in the Vale of Pewsey.
