Town Centre ASB, Graffiti and Speeding
Issued 22 May 2026
During December, the team focused on addressing antisocial behaviour (ASB) in the Pippin area, resulting in positive engagement and disruption of repeat issues.
Graffiti offences:
Officers issued 1 Community Resolution (CR) and 1 Youth Restorative Intervention (YRI) in response to reports of graffiti in the town centre.
ASB interventions:
A further 4 Community Resolutions were issued regarding ASB within the town centre, particularly around the Pippin area.
Daily ASB patrols have continued across Calne to reassure the community and deter further incidents.
Community engagement:
Engagement sessions were held in both the town centre library and the Pippin area, providing opportunities for residents to raise concerns directly with the team.
Speeding enforcement:
Speed checks resulted in 3 speeding tickets being issued, along with 1 vehicle seized for no insurance.
The team continues to monitor key routes and respond where possible.
