You need to complete and sign part one/section A of the notice and return it to the address shown on the form within 28 days.
You'll normally then be sent a conditional offer of a fixed penalty £100 fine and have three penalty points added to your licence. However, you may be eligible for a National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme course instead.
If you don't respond to the notice your case will be referred to court because you failed to provide the information you were asked for to the Police.
Don't send any payment or your driving licence to the Police.
If you've been recorded at what's considered a high speed it will be referred to court in the first instance. You'll still need to return the completed form and once it's processed you'll receive a court summons.

Please note: There is no legal entitlement to a course, these are offered at the sole discretion of police, and the courts have no powers regarding courses. If an offer for a course is made to you, the police are at liberty to withdraw the offer at any time up to the point that the course has been successfully completed.
