Police are investigating a fail to stop which occurred in Corsham last night. (9/2).
At approximately 7.15pm on Friday February 9, a 78-year-old man was crossing Pickwick Road at the junction for the Methuen Arms Public House.
As he did so, a vehicle pulled out from the junction at the Methuen, turning right onto Pickwick Road in the direction of the mini roundabout at the junction with Newlands Road.
He collided with the man, causing injuries to his ankle and cuts to his head.
The driver failed to stop at the scene, and continued straight across the mini roundabout and along Pickwick Road.
It is possible the vehicle involved was an electric Peugeot 3008 in black or green, but this is not confirmed.
Enquiries are currently ongoing and we would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have dash cam footage or CCTV/doorbell footage from the Pickwick Road area to get in touch immediately.
