I write in connection with your request for information dated 19th April 2023 (date the request wording was confirmed), concerning sexual offences.
This request has been re-worded since your initial submission, dated 9th March 2023, as the initial response (dated 21st March 2023) did not provide the data you were hoping for. I have copied the original request wording and response below for reference.

To assist with the data collection, can you please include in your response how your Police Service records if the perpetrator or victim of a sexual offence states that they identify their gender as different to that as recorded on their birth certificate (i.e. male/female)?
Wiltshire Police do not currently have a way to easily identify whether a perpetrator or victim of a sexual assault offence states their gender identity is different to the one given at birth. It is possible this information may be noted somewhere within the occurrence log, or other relevant documentation for the occurrence, however to establish this would require manually reviewing each log and is likely to engage an exemption under the Act (s12).

Clarification received 19.04.2023 - queries and applicant response
Yes I also need Male on Male data, the chart I sent was just an example.
A breakdown of the offences would be very welcome, however as I only applied for Ethical clearance for data relating to offences involving perpetrators/victims over the age of 18, offences such as 'rape of a female under 16' would not be appropriate for this piece of research. I hope that makes sense?
