Heritage Watch aims to help prevent and detect heritage crime in your local area.

Heritage crime is any offence that harms the value of heritage assets such as archaeological sites, churches, castles stately homes and historic shipwrecks.

Offences include:

  • graffiti and vandalism
  • theft of metal and stone
  • arson
  • unlawful salvage of shipwrecks.

This activity can damage historic sites beyond repair, or even mean that a prized piece of history is lost forever.
