Stay safe online image

We are proud to invite you to enter our competition to design a social media campaign to promote staying safe online.

Applicants will come up with their own team name and logo, and will present their campaign in a two minute video to the Wiltshire Police judging panel.

You can enter individually or in teams of up to four people and applicants must live, or go to school, within Wiltshire and Swindon.

There are two categories of competition:

  • School year six or below
  • School year seven to thirteen. Applicants must be under the age of 18.

All games entered will be judged by a specialist panel who will award one winning entry in each category. The panel is made up of Communications Officers, Cyber Protect Officers and Cyber Detective Inspectors.

The prize will be a version of the winning social media campaigns being used on Wiltshire Police social media and a tour of Wiltshire Police Headquarters for the winning team. This tour will include a visit to the Digital Investigations & Intelligence Unit, tea with one of the Senior Officers plus the chance to sit in a road traffic car and meet a police dog handler and dog.

Once you have created your campaign and recorded a two minute video to explain what you have planned, upload your video to YouTube and submit your entry to us on this link:

The deadline for competition entries is 5pm Friday 13 March 2020.

Please note:

You must be able to get yourselves to Police Headquarters in Devizes (Wiltshire) at an agreed time and date to receive your prize. Some aspects of the tour may be subject to change if operational demand dictates.
