LCI Fadwa Booth, who works in Trowbridge, talks about what she enjoys about the job.
Our LCIs work in plain clothes alongside Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), so you'll be a part of the frontline team working in the police station. You will take part in the daily briefing, work on cases with your team and head out into the community to speak to victims and witnesses.
LCIs work days and evenings including weekends, so you'll need to be very flexible and you must have a full driving licence.
Whether it's interviewing a suspect in custody, attending a warrant and helping to search for evidence in a suspect's house or workplace, or reviewing CCTV footage, you will be at the heart of the investigation.

Some LCIs go on to become uniformed police officers, so the experience and skills you learn from being an LCI will hold you in good stead for the future.
