There is much more to do before we can say we are fully representative of the people who live and work in Wiltshire and Swindon.
Being an inclusive employer helps us to understand our multi-cultural communities better and keep them safe.
Taking Positive Action
In Wiltshire we carry out Positive Action.
This is a range of measures that employers can lawfully take to help people from underrepresented groups - usually with protected characteristics as defined in the Equality Act - compete for jobs on equal terms with other applicants.
Our Positive Action team promotes vacancies and seeks to increase participation in our workforce from protected groups, break down community barriers and offer advice to people from underrepresented groups throughout the recruitment process.
If you are from an under-represented group and thinking about joining the police, contact us at [email protected].
Register your interest on our Talent Bank if you are interested in working in any Police Officer or Police Staff roles and our Positive Action team will be in touch
We are happy to discuss the wide range of roles available, including Police Officers, Special Constables, Police Staff and Police Support Volunteers, so please do get in touch for support and guidance.
