In Wiltshire we carry out Positive Action.
This is a range of measures that employers can lawfully take to help people from underrepresented groups - usually with protected characteristics as defined in the Equality Act - compete for jobs on equal terms with other applicants.
Read our Positive Action Plan (2020 to 2021) which explains our approach to attraction, recruitment, retention and progression
Our Positive Action team promotes vacancies and seeks to increase participation in our workforce from protected groups, break down community barriers and offer advice to people from underrepresented groups throughout the recruitment process.
We are happy to discuss the wide range of roles available, including Police Officers, Special Constables, Police Staff and Police Support Volunteers, so please do get in touch for support and guidance.
