Our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Strategy sets out our priorities for the period 2022 to 2025 – in April 2024 we will start our journey of reviewing progress against the Strategy, and the process of engagement and consultation, to co-create our new ED&I Strategy, which is due for publication in April 2025.
The 2022-25 ED&I Strategy is an important document that explains how we will:
In developing the strategy, we ran a series of public engagement sessions, and an online survey to enable members of local communities, employees, and partners to review our proposed strategy and offer their views. We have taken full account of these views throughout the consultation.
In the last couple of years, through the work of our Positive Action team, we have made good progress in increasing the diverse make up of organisation, as part of our drive to be more representative of our communities. However, there is a lot more to do to ensure that we can be fully representative of our communities at all levels.
This Strategy gives us the framework and the high-level objectives to ensure we continue to make positive progress.
