How is the apprenticeship going?
Approaching the end of the third year, it has gone well in the most part, some small bumps in the road however all assignments are now complete. Dissertation and EPA left to submit.
How will it help your career?
Doing the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship will give me a grounding on which to build on the rest of my policing career, through the assignments and learning I have learnt about other departments and roles which assists me while in my probationary period as a PC.
Advice to anyone considering taking an apprenticeship?
I would tell people to take the leap. There are always lots of reasons not to do something, however you do not know what you are capable of and if you are interested in the police, this is a good way to earn the best on the job experience alongside completing a degree which grants you a qualification.
