Phil's first six years in the Force was as a roads policing officer, before becoming a neighbourhood policing team sergeant and inspector in Swindon and Chippenham. Phil has also worked in strategic support in the public protection team, and as Chief Inspector of Operations for the local crime team.
He became head of Crime Prevention in December 2015. During his spare time Phil referees football professionally and semi-professionally.
He is married with two children and enjoys spending quality time with his family. He also enjoys reading autobiographies, especially those of a sporting theme.
