Steve has worked largely in uniform operations throughout his service, including the specialist areas of Roads Policing, Public Order, CBRN and as a Strategic Firearms Commander.
Steve has been involved in many high profile operations including commanding 101 repatriation operations in Royal Wootton Bassett, as the Bronze Commander for the Olympic Torch Relay, as one of the Roads Policing Commanders at the Olympic Games, and as the English Bronze Commander for the NATO Summit in Wales, finally culminating in him planning, commanding and escorting President Obama to Stonehenge.
In 2015 Steve gave evidence representing UK Roads Policing in the House of Parliament 'Transport Select Committee', Steve has also represented UK policing on numerous occasions between 2015 and 2018 in the House of Parliament whilst working within the National Police Chiefs' Council 'Missing Person Portfolio'.
