Detective Superintendent Sarah Robbins

Sarah joined Wiltshire Police in 2002 and worked for the next 5yrs as a Police Constable in Trowbridge, as a response and community officer.

Following a transfer to a proactive team, Sarah gained her Detective qualification and was quickly promoted to Detective Sergeant in CID. This is where she learned that her heart was in the reactive investigation and management of serious and complex crime, predominantly Serious Violence and Serious Sexual Assaults.

Following further promotion, Sarah led the Anti-Corruption Unit as Detective Inspector, and then Head of Professional Standards as Detective Chief Inspector. Here Sarah was exposed to the darker side of policing, but despite this remained resolute that most people who join the Police are honest, have integrity and come to work wanting to do a good job. 

Following promotion to Superintendent, Sarah returned to a uniform role in the South of the county, before returning to the role of Head of Geographic Crime which sees her managing investigative teams across the County, as well as leading the force response to Violence Against Women and Girls (which incorporates Rape and Serious Sexual Assault, Domestic Abuse, and Stalking and Harassment).

Sarah is married with two young children, which keeps her very busy!  In the very small amount of spare time left, she can very occasionally be found running around the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
