Mark is the Deputy Chief Constable for Wiltshire Police. He has more than 30 years policing experience in a range of areas covering homicide and serious crime investigations, serious organised crime, covert policing, local policing, force operations and contact management.
He re-joined Wiltshire in July 2023 as the Assistant Chief Constable for Local Policing and Force Operations, having previously been responsible for the Crime, Justice and Vulnerability portfolio. He was promoted to Deputy Chief Constable in February 2025.
Mark began his policing career with Dorset Police in 1991, where he served for 27 years becoming the Head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Temporary Assistant Chief Constable.
Mark is passionate about supplying the best service to victims of crime and to the communities of Wiltshire.
Mark is married with three children and spends his spare time kitesurfing the best coastal spots when the wind is blowing!
