Craig Dibdin was appointed as Deputy Chief Constable: Operations in December 2023, where he is ultimately responsible for Force operations which includes Local Policing, Crime, Justice and Vulnerability and Professional Standards.
Craig joined Wiltshire Police in Sept 2022 as Assistant Chief Constable further to having served 30 years in policing across two other forces. In April 2023, Craig took up the role of Assistant Chief Officer, responsible for the Evolve programme - the Force response to the HMICFRS improvements required.
Craig began his career in policing at Hampshire in 1991, where he served across uniform and CID roles at all ranks, from Police Constable to Assistant Chief Constable, including Public Protection, Counter Terrorism and Neighbourhood Policing in Southampton.
Craig also served at Thames Valley Police between April 2014 and October 2016 as a Detective Superintendent, whilst heading up the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit.
