We have arrested three teenagers in connection with a robbery in Redhouse, Swindon yesterday evening (04/01).
At around 5.50pm, we received a report from the ambulance service that a victim, a 17-year-old boy, had been stabbed in Eastbury Way, suffering injuries which are not thought to be serious.
Upon attendance, it was established that the victim had also had his e-bike stolen.
Officers responding to the incident detained three teenagers shortly after, where they were found in possession of the stolen bike.
The teenagers – three 15-year-old boys – were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have since been bailed while enquiries continue.
A scene was put in place at the location and has since been lifted.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker said: “This was a serious incident in which a teenager has suffered knife wounds and had his bike stolen.
“Following swift enquiries, we were able to detain and arrest three teenagers in connection with the incident and recover the bike.
“This incident has taken place in public yesterday evening, at the junction between Eastbury Way and Addinsell Road, and we would ask anyone who witnessed it or has any information to get in touch with us.
“You can call 101 quoting log 165 of yesterday’s date, or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0500 555111 to leave information anonymously.”
