Following important community intelligence, we have discovered a cannabis factory in Homington Avenue, Badbury Park, Swindon.
Officers attended the property yesterday morning following a report by a member of the public. Sadly, the plants – thought to be around 100 – had been harvested, with the property subsequently left insecure.
Enquiries are now ongoing to identify the people behind the factory.
Acting PS Stevenson of the Swindon North, East and Rural NPT said: “This incident is an important reminder to please report any suspicious activity to us, particularly any suspicious comings and goings from a property.
“It is often the case that we only find out about these cannabis grows when we receive a report from a member of the public.
“I’d like to thank the person who reported this to us and we are now working to identify and locate the people who were operating it.
“If you have suspicions about a property near you, please report it on 101 or via our website.
“You can also report it anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
