We are appealing to identify two women as potential witnesses to a serious assault which took place in Salisbury city centre in the early hours of this morning (05/01).
At around 3.30am, the victim – a man in his 20s – was assaulted in New Canal outside Chick-O-Land, suffering serious facial injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Two white women with long dark hair, one wearing a short black dress and the other black trousers and black coat, are thought to have witnessed the incident.

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with this incident and is in custody for questioning.
