The incident was reported to have happened at 10am on April 3. A man and woman were seen to be arguing inside a vehicle, a grey Toyota Hilux, near to the Greenbridge roundabout. The pair got out of the vehicle, and the man punched the woman in the face before she ran off through a cut-through on Oxford Road.
A 28-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
