The 17-year-old was approached by three youths in an alleyway near Sudeley Way, one of whom assaulted him by punching him in the face and to the back of the head.
The person who carried out the assault is thought to be a white male, with a small build who was wearing a white scarf with black patterns.
All three were wearing scarves covering their faces and had hoods up.
It is believed that this assault was witnessed by a number of people and we would urgently like to hear from them.
