We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Corsham which left a man with head injuries.
Officers responded to reports of an assault on Long Close Avenue at just before 2am on Saturday (09/11) involving two men known to each other.
A man in his 50s suffered cuts to his head and bruising to his body after being assaulted with a bat and required medical treatment.
It is believed that there was a disorder involving the pair at earlier in the evening on Friday, around 10.40pm at The British Legion, Corsham.
Two men in their 30s have been arrested in connection with this incident.
Both men have been released on bail pending further investigation.
