We are urging residents to be vigilant following two burglaries in the north of the county where vehicles were stolen.
During one incident, a Porsche and a BMW X5 were stolen from an address in Burton at approximately 12.30am on May 29. The offenders broke into the house and stole the car keys before making off with the vehicles.
In the second incident, a Porsche and a Volkswagen Golf were stolen in similar circumstances from an address in Little Somerford shortly after midnight on May 30.
Insp Pete Foster said: “Our enquiries in relation to these incidents are ongoing however, it is clear that suspects are targeting high value vehicles. Please be vigilant and mindful of your own home security and ensure keys are locked away securely and out of sight.
“If you suspect suspicious activity at a neighbours address, please report it immediately. We’d rather know and it be nothing, than not be informed at all and a crime have been committed.”
Anyone with information about either of the above incidents should call 101 and quote crime reference numbers 54240062221 & 54240062482.
Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
