A woman was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries following a collision on the A3098 yesterday. (4/3)
The woman, aged in her 20s, was driving a Seat Ibiza at approximately 6.50pm when it is believed the vehicle left the carriageway on a right hand bend and hit a tree at the A3098 Hisomley crossroads.
The driver – a woman from Westbury – was airlifted to Southmead Hospital with potentially life threatening leg and internal injuries.
The road was closed from Dilton Marsh High Street to the A36 Black Dog Hill junction and reopened by 7am this morning.
