Wiltshire Police Chief Constable Catherine Roper has apologised for the harm caused to the LGBTQ+ community due to the disproportionate enforcement of legislation in the past.
Chief Constable Roper was responding to a letter from the Peter Tatchell Foundation who launched the Apologise Now campaign last year calling on all British police forces to say sorry for their role in over policing and under protecting LGBTQ+ people.
