We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in New Town, Swindon.
At around 7.45pm on May 14 we a man was reportedly punched to the side of the face in Fleet Street and then chased with an axe, before the suspect left the scene in a car.
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of affray, common assault and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. He has been released on bail.
