We are appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Marlborough and Pewsey in the early hours of this morning (03/01).
At around 1am, we received a report of a burglary in progress at the Costcutters store in St Margaret’s Mead, Marlborough.
Three suspects with baseball bats are thought to have broken into the store and stolen items and cash before leaving in a white Ford Focus ST.
Twenty minutes later, at around 1.20am, we received a report of a burglary in progress at the Spar store in North Street, Pewsey, where unknown suspects have again broken into the store, stealing items and cash, before leaving in a white Ford Focus ST.
Our enquiries into both incidents remain ongoing.
DS Gareth Snoad said: “We appreciation the concern that incidents like these cause in our rural communities.
“Our response officers were quickly on scene and our dedicated Burglary team is now investigating these incidents.
“Please be assured that Burglary remains a Force priority. If you witnessed anything this morning or have any information then please report it to us on our website or on 101.”
