Swindon class A drug dealer jailed

A man has been jailed for more than two years after being caught dealing cocaine in Swindon.

Kydon Davis, 19, of Wheatcroft Way, Swindon, was arrested at an address in Walcot on February 22 which he was suspected of cuckooing.

Multiple mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, a Rambo-style knife and a large amount of cash was located and seized, as well as a significant amount of crack cocaine inside the toilet bowl which Davis had attempted to dispose of.

Davis, who was already the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Force’s Serious Youth and Gang Violence unit, was arrested and charged, and the occupants of the property were safeguarded.

He pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine between December 5, 2023, and February 23, 2024, and possession of criminal property, namely £2,115 in cash.

In a hearing at Swindon Crown Court on August 13, he was jailed for two years and four months.

PC Eddy of the Serious Youth Gang Violence team said: “Through our investigation we were able to establish that Davis was running a class A drug line in Swindon, distributing significant amounts of cocaine to vulnerable people around the town.

“I’m pleased he is now being held to account for his actions and faces a term behind bars.

“We know the huge impact and harm that drugs cause within our communities, from the impact on users and their family and friends to the associated crime and antisocial behaviour affecting neighbours and the wider community.

“Creating Safer Public Spaces for the public remains a key Force priority and we are determined to make Swindon and the wider county a hostile area for drug dealers.”
