Motorcyclist dies in collision on A4361 in Winterbourne Monkton

A motorcyclist has died following a collision on the A4361 in Winterbourne Monkton this morning (30/08).
At around 8am, a Kawasaki motorcycle travelling northbound has been involved in a head on collision with a Ford Transit Custom travelling in the opposite direction.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 50s, was declared dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
The road remains closed while enquiries are carried out.
