A teenager has been charged with multiple offences following a pursuit on Bank Holiday Monday.
Officers received reports at approximately 10.30am on August 26 that a Jaguar had been taken by two teenagers and was being driven through Westbury.
The vehicle was located and following the successful deflation of the vehicle’s tyres by officers, the vehicle crashed on the A350 and two teens were arrested.
A 16-year-old male from Devizes, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, has now been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by police, aggravated vehicle taking, using a vehicle without insurance or in accordance with a licence and making off without payment.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court today (28/8).
The second teen arrested - a 15-year-old male from Devizes - was taken to Salisbury District Hospital following the incident and later taken to Melksham custody. He has today been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and will appear at the next available court.
