Six people are in custody after being arrested on suspicion of committing a series of commercial burglaries across the region.
Following an early morning briefing this morning, the Force’s Burglary and Gang Violence team executed a series of warrants in Swindon, supported by teams from HQ Crime, Local Police Tasking Team, Intelligence, Firearms, Dogs and the Neighbourhood teams.
The six people, aged in their 20s, were arrested and cash, class A drugs and a number of motorbikes were seized from the addresses.
DI Dean Garvin of the Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) said: “Today’s warrants are the result of intelligence provided to us by the community.
“We rely on the public to help us do our job – we have said it before but you are our eyes and ears.
“Wiltshire is becoming hard ground for burglars to operate in and this will only get worse. The suspects will be interviewed today.”
