A man is currently in custody following a report of an attempted theft of a vehicle in North Swindon.
We received a report that a man had been seen acting suspiciously around high value vehicles in the Tadpole Garden Village area of Swindon between approximately 1am and 2.30am this morning (5/4).
Officers attended the scene and carried out area searches and located a man matching the description given.
The 36-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, going equipped to steal and conspiracy to commit theft.
He remains in custody at Gablecross for questioning.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage which could assist our enquiries.
