We are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle nearly collided with police officers in Swindon yesterday evening (26/10).
At around 9pm, a silver-coloured BMW on Kingswood Avenue has intentionally swerved around a police car, driven up onto the pavement and along a grass verge before re-joining the road and making off at speed.
The vehicle narrowly missed striking the officers who had attempted to stop the vehicle due to the speed at which it was driving.
The vehicle was coming from the direction of Welcombe Avenue and the incident took place near the junction with Lyndhurst Crescent, near the traffic calming measure.
We would urge anybody who witnessed the incident or has any dash cam or CCTV footage to please get in touch with us on 101 quoting reference number 54230113609.
We would also like to appeal to the driver of the car to please do the right thing and get in contact.
