A man has sadly died following a collision in Pewsey.
At approximately 6.50pm on Thursday October 12, emergency services were called to the A345 Salisbury Road following a report of a two vehicle collision.
A Suzuki Grand Vitara, which had been travelling north east towards Pewsey, collided with a BMW X3 travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Suzuki – a local man in his 40s – sadly died at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time – they are being supported by specialist trained family liaison officers.
The driver of the BMW was uninjured.
The road closure remains in place while ongoing investigation and recovery work takes place.
We would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have dash cam footage, to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 and quote log number 267 of October 12.
Alternatively, email the team at [email protected].
