Officers are continuing to investigate a stabbing which occurred in Malmesbury Gardens yesterday evening (23/11).
At around 6.50pm, officers responded following reports of a serious assault on a man in his 20s, during which he also had his bicycle stolen.
He suffered knife injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
A cordon was set up in Malmesbury Gardens and Dulverton Avenue to allow officers to conduct enquiries. This has now been lifted.
DCI Geoff Smith of Swindon CID said: “This is an unacceptable attack where the victim was subjected to a serious assault by two suspects.
“We treat incidents like this with the utmost seriousness and we are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry.
“A significant policing presence will remain in the area while we conduct our investigation.
“I’m aware of the concern incidents like this have on the local community, so if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to our officers.
“If you have information about the assault, or if you witnessed it, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 54230124454.”
