Following the stabbing in Swindon yesterday evening (08/06), a section 60 order is in place covering much of the town and Highworth.
Officers were called to Meadowcroft Fields in Upper Stratton at just after 8pm following reports of a disorder involving a group of teenagers.
A 17-year-old boy suffered knife injuries and was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition, where he remains.
A section 60 order covering most of Swindon and Highworth was put in place at 10.56pm yesterday and will be in force for 24 hours.
This order allows police officers to stop and search anyone in a specific area without needing to have reasonable grounds.
